A FAVORITE COMEDY MOVIE
Comedy movies have always been my favorites to watch. Whether it be witty or just plain stupid, I always love a movie that can make me laugh out loud.
The Princess Bride
If you have not seen this movie, you must watch it immediately! In the movie, a grandfather reads his sick grandson the story of Buttercup (Robin Wright) and her true love, Westley (Cary Elwes). After the death of Westley, Buttercup is to wed Prince Humperdink (Chris Sarandon), but is captured by a Sicilian (Wallace Shawn), a drunken swordsman (Mandy Patinkin), and a giant (Andre the Giant). It’s hilarious and only gets funnier the more you watch it.
Austin Powers: International Man of Mystery
Austin Powers: The Spy Who Shagged Me
Austin Powers in Goldmember
This is another cult comedy that’s so dumb it’s hysterical. Austin Powers (Mike Myers) is a spy who loves the ladies and is trying to defeat Dr. Evil and his minions. All three movies are great, but Austin Powers in Goldmember is my favorite.
I love both Melissa McCarthy and Sandra Bullock, so that right there made this movie. It’s about how the methodical, arrogant FBI Agent Sarah Ashburn (Bullock) follows a drug lord to Boston, and must work with loud-mouthed, hot-tempered detective Shannon Mullins (McCarthy) to crack the case. There’s a lot of swearing and suggestive content, so it’s not for everybody, but I think it’s funny in a dark/twisted kind of way.
That’s all! What are your favorite comedies?
